We are thrilled to invite you to Planned Parenthood Association of Utah’s 55th Emerald Anniversary Gala – featuring a special comedy performance by Jonathan Van Ness! This year we are celebrating 55 years of empowering Utahns of all ages to make informed choices about their sexual health, ensuring access to affordable, quality health care and education, and protecting reproductive rights.
Jonathan, best known as the beauty and self-care expert on Netflix’s Queer Eye, is one of the most visible nonbinary media personalities. Jonathan uses their platform to raise awareness for a range of LGBTQ+ and HIV issues. They are a fierce advocate for social justice, trans lives and elevating queer voices and experiences. As an avid supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, they have worked closely with Planned Parenthood and The Trevor Project on campaigns that focus on removing the shame and stigma that comes along with talking about sexual health. We could not be more honored to have Jonathan as our special guest at this year’s gala!
Before Jonathan’s performance kicks off, VIP ticketholders are invited to grab cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with us in Abravanel’s magnificent lobby. The reception will feature an open bar with signature drinks and appetizers, music by NBA Jazz team’s DJ Joune, and photobooth, all while browsing our exceptional silent auction packages and our featured art exhibit, The Story of Now.
