Overview
The arts in Salt Lake County are getting a new home! The new Larry H. & Gail Miller Arts Center will be built in South Jordan in Downtown Daybreak, and is a partnership between Salt Lake County and the Larry H. & Gail Miller Foundation, which made a transformative $25 million donation toward the total construction costs for the new venue.
The new venue will be owned and operated by Salt Lake County Arts & Culture.
This state-of-the-art regional arts center will serve as a hub for the southwest area of the county for live performances and visual arts. The Larry H. & Gail Miller Arts Center will feature an 800-seat proscenium theater, two flexible performance and rehearsal spaces, a visual art gallery, and classrooms. It will also provide artists and arts organizations with professional event services, including event and technical management as well as front-of-house and full-service ticketing.
The Larry H. & Gail Miller Arts Center is a significant cultural investment in Salt Lake County and demonstrates the ongoing commitment of both the County and the Miller Family to support the arts and enhance the quality of life for our residents.
The venue fulfills key recommendations in the 2008 and 2020 Salt Lake County Cultural Master Plans to build publicly owned and operated regional cultural arts centers to serve the county’s thriving arts community.
